Alexis Whitman, a petroleum supply specialist, both with Alpha Company, 553rd Division Sustainment Support Battalion, supporting 1st Cavalry Division, load equipment from a Self-Contained Aboveground Tank into a truck at Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland, July 15, 2024. By relocating the equipment, the U.S. Army will cut down on fuel costs across the entire Area of Operations. The 1st Cavalry Division’s mission is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, strengthening interoperability with NATO allies and regional security partners, which provides competent and ready forces to V Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe.
