The 10th Mountain Division hosted Gen. Randy A. George, the Chief of Staff of the Army, for a one-day visit to the installation on July 16, 2024. The visit included the Powder Keg ceremony, where George placed the “Powder Keg” patch and Mountain tab on the youngest Soldier, instilling a sense of history, pride, and purpose. George attended the ceremony as part of his one-day tour of the installation to participate in unit and Soldier engagements and discuss how the 10th Mountain Division (LI) is enhancing the welfare and readiness of Soldiers.
