Colin White, an Ocala, Fla., native and squad leader with the 15th Transportation Company, a Bronze Star Medal with Valor and a Purple Heart. The night of, Sept. 2, 2007, an 1103rd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion convoy was attacked with an improvised explosive device and White engaged a small-arms fire attack and then attempted to rescue a Soldier trapped in a burning vehicle.
