Austin Stamper, the officer in charge of 607th Materiel Maintenance Squadron Detachment 2, explains the customs and courtesies of using public transportation during a welcome brief for U.S. Marines, with Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA(AW)) 224, Marine Aircraft Group 31, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, who just arrived at Suwon Air Base, South Korea, July 15, 2024. VMFA(AW)-224, known as the Fighting Bengals, are supporting MAG-12, 1st MAW, under the Unit Deployment Program, which aims to provide squadrons experience operating in the Indo-Pacific. The Fighting Bengals traveled to Suwon Air Base, South Korea, to enhance their standard of readiness and lethality with our South Korean allies and joint forces. Stamper is a native of Texas.
