Senior Airman Amanda Nguyen, 142nd Medical Group CERFP Det. 1, rests against a vehicle while working as an exercise actor during a Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course at Portland Air National Guard Base, Portland, Ore., on Jul. 18, 2024. The medical training course featured live actors and tasked Airmen with providing medical care in a dynamic environment designed to simulate an evolving battlefield scenario. TCCC was developed by the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency Joint Trauma System to teach evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battlefield.
