FRCSW Golden Wrench Award is presented to
Harry Douglas, Benjamin Gumbayan, Cruz Torres, and Son Nguyen
The Fleet Readiness Center Southwest leadership along with their teammates, recognizes Benjamin Gumbayan, Harry Douglas, Cruz Torres, and Son Nguyen with the Golden Wrench Award for May 2024. Their initiative, diligence, drive, and dedication were demonstrated by their outstanding support for VAW-125, CVW-5, and Ronald Reagan Battle Group. Their technical knowledge and skills were absolutely critical in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft 601 BUNO 168993. These artisans were handpicked to troubleshoot aircraft 601 with an on-going radar discrepancy since October 2023. They were able to systematically isolate components and repair numerous wiring discrepancies in the radar processor, mission computer, and IFF system. Their tireless efforts returned this critical asset to Full Mission Capable status in support of our forward deployed forces. Their dedication to aviation excellence and to our nation's warfighters, makes all the artisans involved the most deserving of the Golden Wrench Award.
