ANNAPOLIS, Md. (July 19, 2024) Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installations, and Environment, and Chief Sustainability Officer Meredith Berger discusses energy and installation resilience, net zero strategy, and sea level rise impacts with Naval Academy and Center for Energy Security and Infrastructure Resilience (CESIR) staff and faculty. Following her visit, Berger had the opportunity to view a noon-meal formation, visit with Brigade of Midshipmen leadership and eat lunch with midshipmen. As the undergraduate college of our country’s naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
