The Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. George W. Casey Jr. and commander of U.S. Army Central, Lt. Gen. James J. Lovelace co-host 22 land forces commanders or their senior representatives from the U.S. Army Central area of responsibility for the third annual land forces symposium in Atlanta on April. 14-17. The theme of this year's symposium, adaptability of land forces to 21st century security challenges, focuses on strengthening joint and multinational capabilities through regional and sub-regional cooperation. Panels during the symposium ranged from topics such as disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration to disaster management and force transformation.
