U.S. Navy aviation boatswain’s mate handler Christina ArredondoLopez, assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), guides a Marine Corps AH-1Z Viper helicopter aboard the USS Green Bay, off the coast of Okinawa, July 20, 2024. Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262 (Rein.) conducted the fly on to prepare for future missions as part of the 24.2 patrol. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
