PORT HUENEME, Calif. (July 19, 2024) Capt. Dean E. Allen renders a hand salute after assuming command of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC), homeported onboard Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), Port Hueneme, during a Change of Command Ceremony held at Fathomwerx, July 19. NAVFAC EXWC is a command of more than 1,300 dedicated federal employees, contractors, and military personnel who provide science, research, development, testing, evaluation, specialized engineering, and mobile logistics capabilities to deliver sustainable facility and pragmatic expeditionary solutions to the warfighter. NBVC is a strategically located Naval installation composed of three operating facilities: Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island.
