A U.S. Navy student from Naval Technical Training Center Lackland, Center for Security Forces, identifies a number from the instructor’s hand after being sprayed with oleoresin capsicum during force protection training as part of the U.S. Navy Master-at-Arms ‘A’ School course, Feb. 8, 2024, at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. After a student is sprayed, he or she must demonstrate basic force-on-force take downs maneuvers and other non-lethal weapons mastery as part of their training curriculum. This training is designed to prepare students for relevant, real-world scenarios they may encounter as a Master-at-Arms in the fleet. (U.S. Air Force photo by Ismael Ortega)
