Ismailia mango farmer Sherihan attended USAID courses on negotiation, marketing, and post-harvest handling to learn how to grow top quality mangoes and get fair prices from traders. In addition to managing her own mango farm, Sherihan takes care of her family, including her parents, who both have heart problems. Through USAID’s Feed the Future Egypt Rural Agribusiness Strengthening Project, Sherihan gained a new appreciation for healthy eating and nutrition. She learned new dishes and innovative ways to improve the nutritional value of the food she prepares and became an advocate for nutrition in her community.
