HAGÅTÑA, Guam (July 21, 2024) - People gather along Marine Corps Drive in Hagåtña for the 80th Liberation Day Parade, July 21. The parade is a celebration of U.S. forces liberating Guam from Japanese Imperial Forces in 1944 during World War II. Throughout the month of July events and ceremonies are held as part of Guam’s liberation month with this year’s theme as, “Peace For Us Always.” (U.S. Navy photo by Nathaniel Salas Dulla).
