James Runner, a bulk fuels specialist, both with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), refuel an F/A-18 Hornet aircraft while supporting Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA(AW))-224, MAG-31, 2nd MAW, flight operations at Suwon Air Base, South Korea, July 22, 2024. VMFA(AW)-224, known as the Fighting Bengals, are supporting MAG-12, 1st MAW, under the Unit Deployment Program, which aims at providing squadrons experience operating in the Indo-Pacific. The Fighting Bengals traveled to Suwon Air Base, South Korea, to enhance their standard of readiness and lethality with our South Korean allies and joint forces.
