U.S. Army Sgt. Jomaine Pippen, dressed in a historical period uniform, participates in the “I Am the Sergeant” portion of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) NCO Induction Ceremony, June 14, 2024. During this ceremony, seven Soldiers and one Airman walked through the NCO arch to signify their passage into the Noncommissioned Officer Corps. The NCO Induction Ceremony is a cherished U.S. Military tradition which formally recognizes an individual’s transition into becoming an official leader and gaining increased responsibility in their role.
