Charlene Fukushima, program manager for Morale Welfare and Recreation, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, is gifted with flower leis during her retirement ceremony at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, July 26, 2024. For 47 years she served at the shipyard in a variety of positions from a deck plate worker, helper, fabric worker apprentice, to numerous roles as administrative support specialist. In 1999, she moved to the Executive Support department and worked there for the remainder of her career as a management analyst, document control supervisor, command records manager, before accepting her last role as MWR program manager.
