Edward Flinn, Director of the Additive Manufacturing Center for Excellence located at Rock Island Arsenal-Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center, briefs Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. Randy George on current and future additive manufacturing capabilities. The AM CoE was established in 2019 to establish a hub of machines and highly trained technicians producing one-off parts for Warfighters throughout the world, getting those parts to where they’re needed in days rather than weeks or months. Rock Island Arsenal-Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center develops, manufactures and delivers readiness solutions through conventional and advanced manufacturing processes for the U.S. Army and Department of Defense systems globally.
