The Montana Army National Guard’s 208th Regional Training Institute, Officer Candidate School, graduated and commissioned five new officers from Class 67 on Sunday, August 4, at the Fort Harrison RTI Plaza.
OCS is an intensive 18-month program that provides enlisted members of the Montana Army National Guard additional educational and training opportunities to continue their careers as an officer.
“Enjoy this moment, which is the first step but only the first of many,” said Col. Trenton Gibson, Commander of the 1889th Regional Support Group and guest speaker at the ceremony. “Completion of OCS has determined that you have the will to fight even when the odds are stacked against you.”
Congratulations to new Second Lieutenants R. Daniel Erekson, Liam James Hassett, David Kronner, Tanner O’Connell, and Hunter Schmidt!
