Dredged sediment fills the old commercial shipping slip 3 at Wilkenson Pointe, the first phase of creating a wetland habitat using dredged material from the Buffalo River, Buffalo, New York. With a retaining wall in place, sediment from three dredging cycles taking place every two years will fill the slip as part of a project to turn it into wetland, restoring it to an aquatic habitat.
