Team members from the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, and the Army Long Range Precision Fires Cross Functional Team have customized a military vehicle to house a new ammunition management system prototype that is being tested with units from the 1st Battalion, 201st Field Artillery Regiment with the West Virginia Army National Guard during exercise Northern Strike 24-2 on August 8, 2024 at Camp Grayling, Michigan. This system is called Tactical Ammunition Management Microservices-Field Artillery, or TAMMS-FA. TAMMS-FA is a revolutionary ammunition management technology and capability set that is being designed to streamline the field artillery ammunition management process, and to make the data more readily available to higher echelons.
