Army Lt. Gen. Jonathan M. Stubbs was promoted to lieutenant general in a ceremony held August 5, 2024, at the Temple Army National Guard Readiness Center in Arlington, Va. The U.S. Senate confirmed Stubbs' for promotion to lieutenant general on July 31, 2024.
Lt. Gen. Stubbs took the oath with Gen. Daniel R. Hokanson, who served as the 29th Chief of the National Guard Bureau and as a Joint Chiefs of Staff member. Lt. Gen. Stubbs's wife, Jane, and their children joined him on stage to accept the promotion.
