U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Tristan Evans, a motor transport operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 22, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group and a native of Anna, Texas, poses for a photo on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Aug. 15, 2024. Evans was selected by his command for his leaderships within his section, ingenuity, resourcefulness in troubleshooting equipment, and effectiveness as an operator. During the most recent Maritime Pre-Positioning Force Exercise in Florida, Evans operated 174 miles and hauled over 100,000 pounds of cargo incident free. When asked what his advice to other Marines was, Evans said, “Make sure to take notes on everything you can, anytime a noncommissioned officer takes the time to teach you about something, take notes and learn.” Each week, 2nd MLG recognizes one outstanding Marine or Sailor that goes above and beyond in their duties and embodies the whole Marine concept.
