Ludwig Miranda, 100th Maintenance Squadron aircraft structural maintenance noncommissioned officer in charge, covers a “HighLife” nose art decal on a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 100th Air Refueling Wing at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England, Aug. 14, 2024. The original B-17 Flying Fortress “HighLife," for which the KC-135 was named, completed 12 successful missions before it crash landed in Dubendorf, Switzerland, where the aircrew remained until the end of World War II.
