Engineers from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division demonstrate the controls of naval aviation’s new deployable training system called Simulators at Sea in a lab near its Patuxent River headquarters on July 31, 2024. Simulators at Sea is a suite of connected aircraft simulators designed to train F-35C Lightning II, F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet, EA-18G Growler, and E-2D Hawkeye aviators on joint missions while on deployed carriers. USS Abraham Lincoln’s (CVN 72) Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 9 were the first to deploy with the trainers in July 2024. (U.S. Navy photo by Chuck Regner)
