    Beach balls were placed in the water and found by participating service agencies during a search and rescue exercise (SAREX) facilitated by the U.S. Coast Guard with the support of local agencies training on SAR coordination and search patterns on regional waters, near Redondo Beach, California, July 18, 2024. After the table-top discussions and training sessions, the participants from local fire agencies and part partners, went underway on small response boats to practice their skills.
