    VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – A U.S. Navy explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technician from Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 6 prepares to cast from an MH-60S Knighthawk attached to the "Tridents" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 9, during a simulated floating mine response drill as a part of the Navy EOD King Crab Competition, Aug. 14, 2024. Navy EOD King Crab is a four-day combat-focused military skills competition that challenges the physical and mental endurance of Navy EOD technicians, highlighting the scope of unique skillsets and capabilities.
