Naval Aircrewmen (Tactical Helicopter) 1st Class Tiffany N. Thomas, a Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) Southwest Warrior Challenge Scout, provides safety guidance for an attendee holding a Mk 13 Mod 7 Sniper Rifle at The Fit Expo Anaheim 2024 at the Anaheim Convention Center, in Anaheim, California, August 17, 2024. The Navy area featured a Joint Light Tactical Vehicle and an assortment of actual weapons, all of which went through industrial demilitarization to be safe. The Mk 13 Mod 7 Sniper Rifle, the Mk 48 Machine Gun, the Mk 17 SCAR-H Battle Rifle and the M4 Carbine Assault Rifle were all big draws as many attendees and vendors alike received public weapons safety instruction before holding one and having a picture taken. Navy Recruiters challenged attendees, fitness influencers, health vendors and professional athletes, both men and women, push-up or pull-up bar contests. Many people who were participants in the competitions came by to show off their strength and flexibility, especially on the pull-up bar. The west coast’s largest fitness exposition, hosted major competitions including NPC Bodybuilding, USPA Powerlifting, Jiu-Jitsu, Arm Wrestling, Functional Fitness, Point Muay Thai & Boxing, Parkour and much more with the more than 250 exhibitors. NTAG Southwest is the largest NTAG in Navy Recruiting Command covering 210,000 square miles in three states with a mission to attract the highest quality candidates to assure the ongoing success of America’s Navy.
