Col. Christopher Jones, commander of the 1st Cavalry Division Sustainment Brigade, presents Staff Sgt. Jose Giral of the 1st Cavalry Division Special Troops Battalion with a copy of the U.S. Constitution during a commemoration of the 1st Cavalry Division Sustainment Brigade's 67th birthday on Forward Operating Site Powidz, Poland, Aug. 15, 2024. Giral was recognized due to his leadership and the wealth of knowledge he brings to the unit. The Brigade was officially activated Aug. 22, 1957. Current Troopers honor the Brigade’s storied past by upholding their mission to provide field services, supply, maintenance and transportation operations in support of the 1st Cavalry Division.
