PATUXENT RIVER, Maryland (Aug. 1, 2024) - From left, AWS1 Eladio Perez-Gonzalez, EODC Zachary Dorfman, and EODC Daniel Breault prepare to be hoisted into a NAS Patuxent River Search and Rescue helicopter during a joint training exercise. EOD technicians assigned to EODMU 12 Detachment Dahlgren conducted a series of helicopter mobility exercises with the NAS Patuxent River Search and Rescue Squadron (SAR DOGS) to practice and refine inserting and recovering EOD personnel from remote hard to access locations. These exercises help to refine procedures and enable emergency response personnel such as EOD technicians to respond to explosive hazards anywhere at any time.
