Korean Augmentation to The U.S. Army (KATUSA) Soldiers carry a mock casualty from a field ambulance. KATUSAs and U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 65th Medical Brigade, participated in a field training exercise at the 121st Field Hospital at Rodriguez Live Fire Complex, South Korea, Monday. Medical Soldiers trained on transporting and treating casualties in a field environment. They were assisted by an air ambulance from the 3-2 General Support Aviation Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. The exercise was conducted as part of Ulchi Freedom Shield 24, one of the largest training events between the U.S. and ROK. UFS24 tests the ROK-US Alliance with complex challenges and includes comprehensive after-action reviews to ensure constant improvement. This iterative annual event strengthens the security and stability on the Korean peninsula and across Northeast Asia.
