Former Korean Augmentation to the U.S. Army (KATUSA) soldiers descended on U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys, South Korea, last week to go through a mobilization exercise to ensure these Republic of Korea Army reserve soldiers are prepared to efficiently mobilize and respond to any situation, enhancing the ROK-US alliance's security and readiness. Eighth Army Soldiers helped them refresh their small weapons and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear protection procedures, along with battlefield first aid. This week, another group of KATUSAs are set to conduct their MOBEX. Former ROK Army soldiers are required to undergo mobilization training each year and KATUSAs have recently conducted their annual training at Camp Humphreys with the U.S. Soldiers they served side-by-side with during their active duty time.
