U.S. Marines fire an M242 25mm Bushmaster chain gun on a Light Armored Vehicle 25 during a crew-served gunnery range at Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 26, 2024. Sustainment ranges allow forward-deployed Marines to maintain proficiency with weapons platforms while stationed in the Indo-Pacific. The Marines are with 3d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, currently forward deployed in the Indo-Pacific under 4th Marine Regiment, 3d Marine Division as part of the Unit Deployment Program.
