U.S. Army Soldiers and members of the Wiesbaden Reservists Comradeship Association participated in a German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge ruck march Aug. 3, 2024, at the Bundeswehr Reservist Clubhouse near Wiesbaden-Dotzheim, Germany.
Each participant was tasked with marching with a 15kg rucksack for 12km in order to pass the event.
However, in order to be awarded the coveted GAFPB, candidates will also need to pass several other events, including a fitness test, marksmanship qualifier, and timed 100m swim.
Representing the U.S. Army were Soldiers with 56th Artillery Command; 2nd Multi-DomainTask Force, 56th Artillery Command; 2d Theater Signal Brigade; 66th Military Intelligence Brigade; and Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, U.S. Army Europe and Africa.
