U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Bobbi Shea, commanding general, Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic, commander, Marine Forces Command, commander, Marine Forces Northern Command, center, departs the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), at General Dynamics NASSCO-Norfolk shipyard, Aug 28, 2024. During the visit, Shea toured the ship and spoke with subject matter experts to deepen understanding of the readiness, capabilities, and warfighting capacities of the vessel and to strengthen existing relationships with key leaders of the shipyard.
