Name plaques paying tribute to Staff Sgt. Robert A. Massarelli and Sgt. Michael J. Strachota, were added to a wall of fallen heroes during an induction ceremony here, Feb. 8. During the ceremony soldiers honored Massarelli and Strachota. Both were killed when a vehicle armed with explosives crashed into their vehicle while conducting combat operations in Kandahar province, June 24, 2012. The two fallen soldiers were forever memorialized by having a photograph and a name plaque placed inside the Hall of Heroes which pays tribute to soldiers who have lost their life since 2007 while serving out of Camp Leatherneck.
