Ahead of a concrete placement for the eighth floor of a new barracks, personnel from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Far East District inspect the quality of the concrete on Humphreys, South Korea, on Sept. 3, 2024. FED checks slump, air content, chloride levels and temperature of concrete as it arrives in trucks. Samples also get sent to the district's in-house Materials Testing Laboratory. These inspections ensure the concrete meets the quality standards of the design. (U.S. Army photo by Rachel Napolitan)
