First Lt. Heather Hauser, Medical Element registered nurse, irrigates the ear of a boy during a Medical Readiness Training Exercise here. Members from the Honduran Ministry of Health, the Honduran military and Joint Task Force-Bravo provided medical services to more than 1,500 patients during the three-day MEDRETE. MEDRETEs give the U.S. the opportunity to exercise our expeditionary medical and mission command capabilities as well as practice integrating with the host nation organizations in preparation for future humanitarian assistance or disaster relief events.
