    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit       

    U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Tu Ring, left, a motor transport operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and Cpl. Korbin Zamora, a light armored vehicle gunner with Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 31st MEU, maneuver a LAV-25 during a defense of the amphibious task force rehearsal, aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), in the Timor Sea, Sept. 10, 2024. The rehearsal was conducted to practice employment of Marines and Navy Sailors to dispel simulated enemy threats approaching the USS Green Bay. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
