Mr. Ashish Vazirani, who is performing the duties of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness visits Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C. Sept. 10, 2024. During the visit he received a tour of the depot highlighting the recruit receiving process, Drill Instructor School, marksmanship training, and the implementation of Automated Neuropsychological Assessment Metrics testing(ANAM). ANAM Testing is meant to measure the cognitive efficiency and speed of U.S. military members before and after deployments, and is now being implemented in recruit training to set a baseline for Marines as they enter the fleet.
