VARNA, Bulgaria — A U.S. Navy explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technician from Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 8 prepares to dive with EOD technicians from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and the Ukrainian Navy, during a simulated underwater demolition operation off the coast of Varna, Bulgaria during exercise Sea Breeze 2024, Sept. 12, 2024. Sea Breeze is an annual maritime exercise aimed at building collective capability and agility to restore security and stability in the dynamic Black Sea.
