    Coast Guard members monitor three Hawaiian monk seal pups while preparing for flight aboard an HC-130 Hercules airplane at Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point in Kapolei, Hawaii, Aug. 20, 2024. Working with personnel from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and The Marine Mammal Center, the Coast Guard aircrew transported the three seal pups to Ke Kai Ola, the Center’s hospital and conservation program in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, for further care.
