YOKOSUKA, Japan (Sep. 13, 2024) – Rear Adm. Ian L. Johnson, commander, U.S. Naval Forces Japan and Naval Region Japan lead a cake cutting ceremony with the command ombudsman, Ms. Ingrid Figuero from USS George Washington (CVN 73) during the 2024 Ombudsman Appreciation Luncheon hosted by the Fleet and Family Support Center on Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY). The Luncheon was held in the Officers’ Club Kosano Dining to honor ombudsmen for their contributions throughout the year. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
