A U.S. Air Force survival, evasion, resistance, and escape (SERE) specialist demonstrates knot-tying to Airmen participating in the SERE selection process at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland on Sept. 9, 2024. SERE selection is a three-week screening process that happens upon completion of basic military training and determines if an individual is a valid candidate for SERE specialist training.
