NORFOLK, Va. (Sept. 17, 2024) Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Sakina Herron, assigned to the Wasp class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) Medical Department, poses for a photo with Capt. Reginald Ewing, and Master Chief Hospital Corpsman Amanda Mcdevitt, both assigned to U.S. Fleet Forces Command, following an award ceremony where she was awarded a Navy and Marine Corps achievement medal for winning the Danyelle Luckey Sacred Trust Award, Sept. 17. The Danyelle Luckey Sacred Trust Award recognizes hospital corpsmen who epitomize the Navy core values, excel in ability, skills, judgement, and demonstrate dedication to a patient–centered approach to healthcare.
