U.S. Navy Chiefs and chief selects from USS America (LHA 6) participate in a base clean-up community relations project while in port at Busan Naval Base, South Korea, Sept. 6, 2024. The event held as part of Chief Season allows participants to build camaraderie while contributing to maintaining a clean environment around the base during America’s first visit to Busan and to Commander, Naval Forces Korea (CNFK). CNFK is the U.S. Navy's representative in South Korea, providing leadership and expertise in naval matters to improve institutional and operational effectiveness between the two navies and to strengthen collective interoperability in Korea and the region.
