Key supporters of Fort Hunter Liggett’s (FHL) groundbreaking microgrid system, pose in front of the Tesla Megapack, during the microgrid ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Tesla Megapack is a powerful battery that provides energy storage and support, helping to stabilize the microgrid system, and ultimately preventing the possibility of an installation outage. Each unit can store over 3.9 MWh of energy, which is enough energy to power an average of 3,600 homes for one hour, or in FHL’s case, keep the entire installations power supply uninterrupted.
