YOKOSUKA, Japan (Sept. 18, 2024) The Honorable Dr. Lester Martinez-Lopez, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs tours U.S. Naval Hospital Yokosuka. Dr. Lopez visited U.S. Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (USNMRTC) Yokosuka and met with Commanding Officer, Capt. Torrin Velazquez to discuss the capabilities, challenges, and mission of the USNMRTC Yokosuka Enterprise. During the visit Dr. Lopez received a distinguished visitor tour of U.S. Naval Hospital Yokosuka to meet with hospital staff, conducted an All Hands call and had lunch with enlisted Sailors in the hospital cafeteria.
