(Sept. 20, 2024) Culinary Specialist Seaman Abraham Ricacho, assigned to Wasp class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), serves cake on the barge mess decks following the command’s 27th birthday celebration, Sept. 20. During the ceremony, the ship’s heritage committee read a brief history of the ship, the commanding officer gave remarks, the crew sang happy birthday, and the oldest and youngest members participated in a ceremonial cake cutting.
