NAVAL STATION MAYPORT, Fla. (Sept. 20, 2024) Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, commander, Naval Surface Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet, presents the Meritorious Service Medal to Cmdr. Jeremy Robertson, outgoing commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64), during the ship’s change of command ceremony at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, Sept. 20, 2024. Following the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attacks in Israel, USS Carney operated alongside the Gerald R. Ford and Dwight D.
