The New York Police Department provided a helicopter flyover in salute to the 353rd Civil Affair Command's Change of Command on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The ceremony took place on Fort Wadsworth, NY, in the shadow of the Verrazano Bridge and included representatives of all twelve civil affairs and four psychological operations battalions assigned to the 353rd CACOM. Brig. Gen. Dean Thompson relinquished command to Col. Clifford Kyle.
